This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with (1) our website and (2) our video game Mycofall, to inform you about your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not legally required to do so.


2. The website

2.1 Server log files

When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referring URL, browser type and version, and operating system.

  • Purpose: deliver the website, ensure stability and security, prevent abuse.
  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website).
  • Storage: deleted or anonymised once no longer needed.

2.2 Hosting (WordPress)

Our website runs on WordPress via a hosting provider acting as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR. The processing in 2.1 takes place on this provider’s servers.

2.3 Fonts and assets

Fonts and similar assets are served locally from our own server. No connection to third-party font servers is established.


3. The game (Mycofall)

3.1 Steam platform

Mycofall is distributed via Steam (Valve Corporation). Installing and running the game is governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement and Valve’s Privacy Policy.

3.2 Steam Cloud

Save data may be synced via Steam Cloud, operated by Valve. We do not store this data on our own systems.

3.3 Achievements & leaderboards

  • Your Steam persona name and scores may be visible to other players on global leaderboards.
  • We access this only through Valve’s Steamworks interface to display achievements, leaderboards, and related features. We do not store this data on our own systems.
  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3.4 Online co-op

Handled through the Steam network (Steam Datagram Relay). Traffic is relayed over Valve’s network; players‘ IP addresses are not revealed to one another or to us.

3.5 Game engine

Mycofall is built with Unity. Engine-level data collection has been disabled. No additional third-party analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking.


4. International data transfers

Valve Corporation is based in the United States. When you use Steam features, personal data may be processed in the US or other countries by Valve under its own privacy policy and safeguards.


5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21).

Because we do not store player data on our own systems, requests relating to Steam-processed data must be directed to Valve. For data we control (website logs, email), contact us via Section 1.

6. Children

Mycofall and our website are not directed at children. Steam accounts and age requirements are governed by Valve’s terms.


7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the game, website, or legal requirements. The current version is always available on our website and linked from within the game.
